How can I particpate and complete a tag?
Stop by Chick-fil-A and pick any tag off the tree. To complete the tag, simply collect all the items listed and return them to Chick-fil-A before the due date.
When are gifts due back?
Gifts are due back at the time assigned on back of the tag. This is usually the second week of December. We ask that gifts be returned on time so that the nursing homes may collect them the following week. 2023 DUE DATE: December 11, 2023.
What type of packaging do I need to put the items in?
Gift items should be returned bundled together in either a bag or wrapped package. The request tag with guest information should be attached to the bag for easy identification. The more sturdy the bag or packaging the better for transportation
We accept all forms of donations. Any money donations are solely reserved for use on gifts and items for the residents and nursing homes. On average, 10% of the request tags are not returned each year. We use these donations to purchase any items needed that are not returned. Once all request tags have been completed, any remaining money is used to purchase items for the residents that the nursing home staff may have requested for use in their community rooms.
Are other types of donations accepted?
The vast majority of the recipients are for elderly patients. However, every now and then some requests may seem like they might be for a child, and chances are they just might be. Some residents in nursing homes are disabled youth that requires assistance beyond what their families can offer.
